The CFK "Lumberjack’s Toothpick" Hunter: Thirteen Inches of Attitude.

We took a pinecone. We encased it in resin. Then we attached it to a piece of Japanese steel the size of a small forearm.

The CFK Custom Forged Hunter in this configuration is a 13-inch beast that bridges the gap between "Hunting Knife" and "Short Sword." It’s elegant enough to display on the mantle, but substantial enough that if you dropped it, it would probably slice through the floor joists.

The "Heavy Metal Nature" Specs:

• The Steel: AUS-10 Japanese Stainless. A fantastic all-rounder steel that gets razor sharp and stays that way. It’s Full Tang, running the entire 13-inch length, because we don’t do "flimsy."

• The Grip: Resin Pinecone. We stabilized a pinecone in resin to create a grip that is visually stunning and tough as nails. It’s nature, but upgraded. The ergonomic shape ensures you can wield this monstrosity without it flying out of your sweaty palm.

• The Hardware: Polished Steel Double Bolsters. We put steel armor on the front and the back. The double bolsters give it perfect balance (so it doesn't feel like you're holding a brick) and feature finger stops for safety. Also includes a lanyard tube, in case you want to hang it from your pack like a warning sign to local wildlife.

• The Carrier: Genuine Custom Leather Sheath. Thick, durable leather to keep the 13 inches of sharp pointy-ness contained until you need it.

The Verdict: It’s big, it’s beautiful, and it’s made of pinecones and resentment. Perfect for the outdoorsman who thinks standard hunting knives are "cute."
